SRB Info Page
IC maintains the computers involved in both the SRB Lab itself (downstairs facility) as well as the
Remote Stations ("Satellites") throughout the building. This page serves to duplicate the help available on each
Computer as well as to be an additional resource for those who need it.
Important Notes for Using this Computer
All data is erased!
- All files stored on these computers are deleted every time the computers are restarted.
- To save your work, please use a USB flash drive or UStorage.
You can also e-mail a copy of your work to yourself.
How to Print
- Files printed from the lab computers and satellite stations will be sent to the print station in the lab on the first floor.
- To retrieve your print job, first print your work from this computer, then go to the lab on the first floor.
There will be printed instructions on using the print station.
Accessing the Internet
- To access the internet, you must sign in with your UCSBnetID.
- Your UCSBnetID is the same as your U-Mail address. If your U-Mail address is joegaucho@umail.ucsb.edu,
you will enter "joegaucho" (without "@umail.ucsb.edu") and your password in the lab sign-in window on the computer.
Getting Help
- If you have trouble printing or logging in with your UCSBnetID, or if this computer
is not working properly, please visit the front desk on the first floor.
- If your computer is not working correctly please try these steps
to fix it.
